First Day of School Letter

Hello families and welcome to our first grade classroom! I am thrilled to be teaching your little ones this year! This is my second year as a first grade teacher and love it so much! I also have two years of experience as a substitute teacher and two years of experience as a Pre-K Paraprofessional. Since I was a little e, I knew that my dream job was to teach. It is so incredible that I get to live out that dream each and every day and I love that I get to do so with your child! This year is going to be full of learning, exploring, and engaging activities that create a room full of intelligent little minds! I would like you to know that we are in this together, meaning if you have anything you are concerned about or would like to suggest, I am completing open into working with you. You can message me on ParentSqaure at any time or we can set up a meeting to meet in person or over the phone. As for our homework policy, homework will be sent home every Monday in the students’ homework folder and will be due every Friday. If you have any questions about homework, please don’t hesitate to ask! The homework will consist of review packets of what we have learned about in the previous week and will be targeted in helping them get the practice that they need to be prepared for our end of unit assessments. I look forward to working with you and the students this year and am excited what this year has in store for all of us!
